Either from the GUI or the Web client, Click on the Utilities menu ->
Delete Archive Data..., and you will be able to see all your archive data
by date. From there, you can choose which one you want to delete. It's
pretty much straight forward.

The impression I got from the question was that he wanted to delete a
certain archive (not all of the archives for a filespace). If he performs
the command "del filespace <NODE_NAME> <FILESPACE_NAME> type=archive" he
will delete all of the archives for that filespace. If that is what he
wants then that your command will work faster but if he wants only a
certain
date deleted then he will need to perform it from the client.

How about a slightly more useful answer.
del filespace <NODE_NAME> <FILESPACE_NAME> type=archive
