No, this is not possible within TSM either.

You are a member of the TSM/ADSM list so don't try to register elsewhere. I
don't think there is an elsewhere. This is where all the really cool TSM
people hang out anyway!

I suppose an idea might be to configure the second jukebox as the nextstg
target of the first. Any new images would be stored in the second jukebox
as the first one is full. If not full, lower the migration threshold to
force the data to be stored in the second.

By doing this you eliminate the need to create a second management class or
policy domain to direct the data to the new pool you must create in the new
jukebox. The existing structure will use the new storage by virtue of the
nextstg parameter. This configuration will not effect performance. Rather
than treating the two jukeboxes as one, you work at the storage pool
hierarchy level which offers essentially the same thing.

If I've missed something here, scream.

Subject: TSM/ADSM Question - Multiple Jukeboxes

We are running an application (ImageEdit) that uses ADSM as its backend. We
have been using a 3995 optical library to store our images on and have now
filled the jukebox. We bought another (5.2GB vs 2.1GB) jukebox to add on so
that we could logically expand the storage pool and continue on. A post on
ADSM.ORG has indicated that this is not an available option. (clip of post

No.

I inquired about this a few months ago, and
you can can't do what you want. And, according to IBM, treating multiple
physical libraries as one logical library would require an extensive
architectural change to ADSM.

My question has to do with TSM (no flames please, I know the list says ADSM.
I am awaiting a reply to join the TSM-L list as we speak, but the situation
has become urgent!!)

Is it possible to do this / have two jukeboxes as one storage pool / in
TSM.

Thanks for any light you can shed on this issue for me.
