Is the procedure different from WinNT ? With NT, you have to install a temporary NT, make a full restore and copy the adsm.sys content to :
DSMC RES C:\ADSM.SYS\REGISTRY\<USER>\MACHINE\*.* C:\WINNT\SYSTEM32\CONFIG\ I heard that for WIN2000, it was not necessary to work with a temporary installation and WIN2000 could be restored over the life partition. Is it true ? If it is, what is the use of the ADSM.SYS folder ? What is to copied from and to ?
