Hi there guys, There's a great redbook covering the Windows 2000 restore in detail, including the meaning and sence of it all. http://www.redbooks.ibm.com/pubs/pdfs/redbooks/sg246141.pdf http://www.microsoft.com/technet/treeview/default.asp?url=/technet/security/ tips/Recover.asp
Also take a look at the articles provided by microsoft. I suggest you read it. -----Oorspronkelijk bericht----- Van: Anderson, Michael - HMIS [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Verzonden: woensdag 19 maart 2003 22:09 Aan: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Onderwerp: Win2000 Restore I am trying to test the 5.1.5 Windows client. After I do the restore of the system objects and reboot, it creates me a new profile. I can see my icons but most of them won't work. I found a document about changing the registry, in which it does point to my user name with the name of our domain and 001. I try and change it back to my ID like it says and reboot, when I receive the error: windows\system32\config\systemd corrupt or missing. I figure I am doing something wrong, but just not sure where. Could someone please give me some advice. Server is Aix 4.3.3 TSM 4.2.3.3 I do the following steps: Install temp windows (winnt directory) restore C drive restore system objects reboot Thanks Mike Anderson [EMAIL PROTECTED] CONFIDENTIALITY NOTICE: This e-mail message, including any attachments, is for the sole use of the intended recipient(s) and may contain confidential and privileged information.
