If your client is at least 4.2, and you do not have a restrictive DOMAIN statement in dsm.opt, a scheduled incremental includes backup systemobject.
Check the scheduler log, you will see several messages like "Backup System Object: Event log", "Backup System Object: Registry", etc. that let you know it is being done. -----Original Message----- From: Joe Howell [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Thursday, June 26, 2003 7:56 PM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: Is backup systemobject redundant on Win2K? If I am doing an incremental backup of a Windows 2000 server client, is also performing a "backup systemobject" command redundant? My reading of the TSM Client reference leads me to believe that it is but I could use some reassurance.
