Try to narrow it
- install v5.1.x server on another platform (or new instance on the
mainframe) and test the v5.2.0.1 client. If the problem is recreated, you
can only report it to IBM and wait for a fix.
- you may also try both clean installation of v5.2 client and upgrade over
working v5.1 one
According to IBM it *must* work. But to err is human ... and you have to
find where lies the prblem.

Hello
I have a tsm client, 5.2.0.1 running on Windows2003. My TSM Server is
5.1.6.0 and runs on MVS.
When I start the gui and do a backup i get "The server code is down-level"
Isn't the 5.2 client compatible with the 5.1.6.0 server??
