I prefer AIX over all of them. This is the only UNIX operating system that can create, via mksysb and savevg utilities, a complete bootable media. We have already had to perform a full server restore on Solaris. We needed to recustomize it. There is no need with AIX!

Sorry for the off topic post, but a pointer to a reference or two is appreciated! ... Direct mail is gladly accepted. If others would like a summary I could post or e-mail a summary of responses. I have done Solaris and Linux, and now have an AIX system. Can't seem to get management to spring for a 'differences' class, so I need to do some self education. Does someone have suggested references for AIX administration and maintenance? (book, web page, etc) We are on AIX 4.3.3 now soon to move to 5L
