Solution was rather simple actually. The passwords had changed since
these instances were generated. I went back to the old passwords and all
was well.

I did a Disaster Recovery test with library sharing, and had to reset the
password between the two machines. I'd expect you need to do the same
here. I don't have the exact steps handy, but it was the same as the
initial configuration for the setup.
