Hello,
I want to replenish 30 brand new LTO2 tapes into the 3584tapepool
and at the same time take out the bad tapes.
1) I have already set the bad volumes access=unavailable so that it does
not continue to cause I/O errors in the daily run.
Is there a way I can go through each bad volume and flush out the bad
and corrupted files and move the good files to a different tape? May be
then I can reuse the tapes again?
2) Is there a way to find out the serial number of the tapes in the
tapepool?. I am told that for the new tapes, they should be numbered
sequentially following immediately after the last tape in the tapepool? (
supposedly that is the number on the label.)
