You indicate that theslow performance is at "random times". I assume this means that at other times backups are what you would normally expect. This could be really tough . . . It could be . . . - a problem on the client node not sending the data - a network problem - a problem on the TSM server - paging on either server - intermittant hdwr problem, cabling problem, etc, etc The next time it occurs, besides looking at performance data on each server, I'd try and copy a big file from the client node to the TSM server, and to some 2nd server - ie: does a non-tsm transfer have the same problem, and, is the problem TSM specific or a generic problem.
