It is a 3584 SCSI library. I am running a Library Manager - Library Client architecture. I have checked the obvious things - eg removed all drives and pathing definitions, checked element locations and WWNs and redefined all to ensure it is not something silly like incorrect drive / element definitions etc. Have ran audit library, have visually confirm the offending tapes are in the library physically etc.

Ran the audit library checkl=b before but still getting issues. Only thing i haven't tried is manually try a 'checkout libvol' then checkin again.. -----Original Message----- From: ADSM: Dist Stor Manager [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Rolf van der Zwart Sent: Tuesday, 4 November 2008 8:40 PM To: [email protected] Subject: Re: [ADSM-L] Unavailable Tapes - cannot do Move Data Hello, First try to run a audit library (checklabel=barcode) to get a real inventory of your library. Do this when there's no activity on the library. Rolf. > Hello, > > I find normally that when a tape is unavailable is has to do with the fact > that the tape is stuck in a drive.
