What are the specific issues you are having with VCB? There are a number of products that are essentially front-ends to VCB if you feel its a management problem, but they do need VCB. The TSM 5.5 client also added a number of features that make it less of a hassle as well.
Otherwise, you just have to put clients in each VM.
