You are quite right Steven. It is still the same amount of data. I have now noticed that my (2 x 1.5 TB each) SAN DISKPOOL is taking forever to migrate to copy pool offsite each day. Seems to get slower and slower.
Any ideas as to why this might be? All my resources are working optimally, as are my SAN LUNS etc. Could it be that the diskpool is being written to while the offsite copy takes place? I can't see it reducing your offsite copy time. The same amount of data needs to be copied doesn't it. Are you able to optimise this any? I have a TS3310 tape library with 6 drives, which will obviously have to be shared with the 1st instance. I am considering this as I am having a hard time getting all my schedules and the Administrative tasks completed in a 24hr cycle. My offsite creates are taking ages and run from 4am until +- 3-4pm not leaving a large enough window for admin tasks. Is this a good practice from your previous experiences?
