Hi To actually be able to answer this question, some more input on the load on your environment would be helpful.
How many TSM servers are your library server instance serving, how many volumes do you have in your library inventory and how many libraries are we talking about? Any idea about how many mounts / minute or hour you're doing? The requirements for a library manager serving 2 TSM servers with one library and 200 slots is abit different from a LM instance serving 10 TSM servers with 4 libraries and 10.000 volumes :) Generally, the Library Manager instance doesnt require as much as any of your TSM servers when it comes to resources, but in the end, it's all about the load you're planning on putting on that LM. I personally would have used 8 GB memory just in case. Even if you are upgrading the existing LM server to v6 the memory should be enough since the LM database is kind of small in most cases. There's an example of two TSM 6 upgrades at the TSM Wiki.
