I'm persistently getting a "Return code 653 unknown" error when running backups.
Can anybody tell me what this means? As far as I can tell the backup is actually succeeding - But I assume something is awry... An "Unknown system error" message is reported (in "dsmsched.log") immediately after the backup summary information. There are no error messages either here or in "dsmerror.log" before this point in the backup... 13/05/2011 04:40:30 --- SCHEDULEREC STATUS BEGIN 13/05/2011 04:40:30 Total number of objects inspected: 300 13/05/2011 04:40:30 Total number of objects backed up: 134 13/05/2011 04:40:30 Total number of objects updated: 0 13/05/2011 04:40:30 Total number of objects rebound: 0 13/05/2011 04:40:30 Total number of objects deleted: 0 13/05/2011 04:40:30 Total number of objects expired: 101 13/05/2011 04:40:30 Total number of objects failed: 0 13/05/2011 04:40:30 Total number of subfile objects: 0 13/05/2011 04:40:30 Total number of bytes inspected: 32.40 GB 13/05/2011 04:40:30 Total number of bytes transferred: 32.40 GB 13/05/2011 04:40:30 Data transfer time: 1,156.84 sec 13/05/2011 04:40:30 Network data transfer rate: 29,373.80 KB/sec 13/05/2011 04:40:30 Aggregate data transfer rate: 14,257.80 KB/sec 13/05/2011 04:40:30 Objects compressed by: 0% 13/05/2011 04:40:30 Total data reduction ratio: 0.00% 13/05/2011 04:40:30 Subfile objects reduced by: 0% 13/05/2011 04:40:30 Elapsed processing time: 00:39:43 13/05/2011 04:40:30 --- SCHEDULEREC STATUS END 13/05/2011 04:40:30 Unknown system error Please check the TSM Error Log for any additional information ...The "dsmerror.log" contains the following messages at this time... 13/05/2011 04:40:30 Return code 653 unknown 13/05/2011 04:40:30 Unknown system error Please check the TSM Error Log for any additional information Many Thanks, =Adrian= DISCLAIMER This message is confidential and intended solely for the use of the individual or entity it is addressed to.
