Hi What result does audit vol give you?
No label on the tape/blank tapes usually points towards an error in the FC HBA driver. TSM & the tape driver thinks they are writing data to the tape, but the FC HBA driver does nothing. I've seen it before, a customer tried using JNI FC HBA's under AIX, but the driver didnt have the correct FC Tape level support on the FC HBA driver. If the tape is really empty, then it's not much you can do but a delete vol XXX discard=yes, re-label the tape with checkin=scratch.
