I know about those issues, but it's not reason to hardcore 1.6* in Info.plist.
I use IDEA 13, 14, Android Studio from its first versions on MacBook Pro and PC with Mac OS on JRE 1.8 and I don't face any of those issues. Why not just allow to use 1.6+ and notify user with Dialog "It's not safe to use YOUR_JVM_VERSION, you can face some issues: links".
