Does anybody have any idea why this option would be greyed out?  It is really effecting users ability to open projects when gradle is not installed.  I have ensured the gradle wrapper is up to date.  The project will open in Android Studio if I choose 'Import Non-Android Studio project' which is a confusing workflow, but one we will use for now.  When including the *.idea folder or the *.iml we don't have any of these issues.

I am not commiting any of my projects *.iml files or .idea folder to source repository as my expectation is that gradle generates IDEA project configuration files.

When opening an existing Android Studio project I get the 'Import Project from Gradle' dialog.  At this point the 'Use default gradle wrapper (not configured for the current project)' selection is grayed out even though I have the gradle wrapper in the project.  How can I ensure this option is not grayed out?
