As long as the mind is the instrument of perception, it cannot be still. Mind is authority, servant, and redeemer (mind is time).
There is stillness only when control and authorship of mind is abandoned and this abandonment does not come via effort, will, or desire. There is no authority, servant or redeemer in stillness.
