I have had a bit of a problem getting Service Pack 3 to work with TCP/IP over a
network. It works okay on the local machine but not over the network. Prior service
packs of MSDE worked fine over the network. Has anyone else experienced this problem.
Did MS plug a network hole with SP 3?

Thanks,

Mark Potter

Why not use MSDE?

It's quite small, free* and very compatible with SQL Server so you won't
suddenly find problems with your SQL statement that didn't show up on an
emulator.

download. Check the licencing terms for the actual specifics.
