Are you starting the service the first time from within the installer
class, or do you just install it and start it manually after
installation?

Subject: [ADVANCED-DOTNET] Service stays in "starting" status first time
its started

I have a .net service that after installing it on a clean machine will
always stay in the "starting" status when attempting to start it for the
first time. Subsequent attempts will always work fine. It only appears
to
happen the very first time on a newly installed system. Is there some
framework initialization or something similar that happens the first
time a
.net service is invoked?

Mike
