Hi Dan,

I had a similar problem recently. On some of our servers ASPX form
submission worked and on others for any ASPX page that had validation
controls form submission didn't work. I seem to remember this manifested
itself in different ways on the client. Perhaps in some cases the JavaScript
error message was clear i.e. there was a popup, perhaps in others there was
just that broken script icon at the bottom left of the browser window, and i
definitely remember in one case all that happened was that the button just
didn't want to submit the form. That was really wierd - just seemed like an
event was being cancelled out somewhere.

Anyway - the way i solved the problems was this. We have about four servers
with copies of the following file:
C:\Inetpub\wwwroot\aspnet_client\system_web\1_1_4322\WebUIValidation.js

I compared the file sizes of the various WebUIValidation.js files and found
them to be different (!). On our live server everything was working fine. I
replaced all of the other copies with the file from our live server and then
everything was working how it should. Don't ask me how these files ever
became different - fairly sure we didn't make any changes to them - or maybe
someone got trigger-happy with a search and replace! Anyway - just thought
it worth mentioning as it's a fairly easy fix to make on the server side.

HTH,

Nick
