I've done both -- using VS + SVN without integration and using VS + SVN with integration (AnkhSVN) -- and I prefer it with integration. I'm less likely to forget to add new files to the repository when I see them right there in the IDE without the proper icon.
There is a slight perf hit, but I only notice it when the solution first loads and refreshes it's status with the respository. Haven't really noticed a perf hit while using it (unless I add a new page/class and a repository refresh is done). --- Patrick Steele http://weblogs.asp.net/psteele -----Original Message----- From: Discussion of advanced .NET topics. My past experiences suggest that every Visual Studio SCC integration out there causes performance issues within the IDE itself... -- Efran Cobisi http://www.cobisi.com Paul Cowan wrote: > Hi all, > > Does anybody know how I can or if i can get visual studio 2005 > integration with Subversion? > > If not how do people use subversion with vs 2005. > Thanks > [EMAIL PROTECTED] > _________________________________________________________________ > Feel like a local wherever you go with BackOfMyHand.com > http://www.backofmyhand.com =================================== > This list is hosted by DevelopMentorR http://www.develop.com > > View archives and manage your subscription(s) at > http://discuss.develop.com > =================================== This list is hosted by DevelopMentorR http://www.develop.com View archives and manage your subscription(s) at http://discuss.develop.com =================================== This list is hosted by DevelopMentorĀ® http://www.develop.com View archives and manage your subscription(s) at http://discuss.develop.com
