JFileChooser Open Dialog

Hi ,

     I am using JFileChooser's Open dialog to select a file for opening on
Windows platform. The problem is that JFileChooser does not allow me to select a
file which is on my desktop. The JFileChooser does not show any files on the
Desktop.Any API functions which can correct this?
