I want to create a JCheckBoxMenuItem that is operable, but invisible on the menu to hide some options from the general users but allow "those who know" to activate them.
setVisible(false) removes the item from the menu entirely setForeground(getBackground()) makes the text invisible but how do I handle the box icon? Is there a better approach to this requirement?
