The reason why you would see that in C# and probably now in VB.Net is
that the creator behind C# is also the creator behind Delphi.

That's the reason why I'm stinking with Delphi. With the recent
versions 2005 and 2006, it's possible to develop for both the Win32
and .Net platforms. But, I have to admit that currently we're still
using Delphi 7, since we currently have no need for .Net development
(maybe in 2 years).
