I feel with you.
I think of it as a big mess that everyone has to purchase Windows when buying a 
new computer.
The consumer has the right to choose his operating system.
As far as I can see from my weblog there are about 55% Windows users, 25% Linux 
users and 
15% Mac OS users. Who pays for the development of free software? nobody!
Make users give a donation to the OSS community for every computer that is 
shipped with OSS-sw!
It should be forbidden by anti trust law that software vendors have to sell all 
computers with 
Windows as soon as they want to offer computers with this operating system at 
all which is 
mandatory. The sum of the price of all sold licenses must not be lower when 
selling a higher 
quantity because this is fraud on competitors!
I think the EU anti trust effort has simply failed in this area.
