Not that this is helpful to a discussion about certifying perl programmers,
but mention of certification and perl in the same sentence makes me think of
this bit of the perl faq:
=head2 Is there an ISO or ANSI certified version of Perl?
Certainly not. Larry expects that he'll be certified before Perl is.
