What a bunch of unenlightened jerks. Perl runs a good part of the company I work for, and takes up a good portion of my time. I used BASIC in the eighties, and Perl is much much more powerful, and quite difficult to learn how to use correctly to make hard jobs easy. "Hobbiest programming languages like perl or basic are of course not suitable for professional purposes." Feh. Cheers, James
