What this *fact* has to do with mod_perl? If you want to promote something promote it using its pros, and not because it's better than something else. The definition of the "better" part is so vague and may widely vary depending on your preferences. > PHP *is* on more servers than mod_perl. Excuse me, how do you know that? mod_perl is usually running on the back end servers which aren't accessible by scanners like netcraft. The front-end doesn't indicate that its back-end is running mod_perl. So I won't be so sure about about this being fact. >>p.s. Is there more on the site that I've missed? I didn't say "mod_perl getting the shaft", I said using mod_perl in negative conotation, as being "less". >>And some"one" like ORA should be smart enough to realize that and if >>they cannot promote all oss equally because they still need to make >>money, they should at least try not to destroy the image of those >>that are less favorite in their eyes. > > > Again, I think you're over-reacting with comments like "destroy the > image of..." To me it's better to overreact to get things fair, rather than being passive and let others set the rules. After all this is an advocacy list, remember? > I realize you have a vested interest in mod_perl's success, but I > can't seem to find all the negativity in the quote that you have. Because you probably don't have a vested interest in mod_perl's success :) Anyway as Nat said this will be fixed :) _____________________________________________________________________ Stas Bekman JAm_pH -- Just Another mod_perl Hacker http://stason.org/ mod_perl Guide http://perl.apache.org/guide mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] http://ticketmaster.com http://apacheweek.com http://singlesheaven.com http://perl.apache.org http://perlmonth.com/
