It's better, but I still get a little bit of throb. Basically, it seems to happen with either brightly colored foreground on a very dark background, _or_ brightly colored (but darker foreground) on a contrasting background. To compare, the black text on blue headings are not a problem at all. If you use the same blue background for the navbar it's not bad on my eyes.
