In the Google Ads API, and as per checking the LeadFormCustomQuestionField documentation, the custom_question_text currently does not explicitly specify a character limit. Checking our release notes, no related changes have also been recently included. However, if this has been applied in the Google Ads UI, and since the Google Ads API mirrors what is available in the UI, then this limit should already be one of the validations in the back end. Also, if you are creating this via the Google Ads UI, I would recommend that you reach out as well to the Google Ads Product Support team, via this link, for further guidance.
