If I download the Search_Query_Performance report for YESTERDAY without the ConversionTypeName and ConversionCategoryName fields I get a large list of items as expected. If I then download the same report with those 2 columns, and removing the incompatible columns I get a much smaller list...again as expected.
However, the smaller list is exactly the same as the subset of rows in the first report that have at least 1 Conversion. I don't understand why there is a need to force this to be two report downloads, where is the incompatibility? The way it is now, I have to recombine, basically, data you already have. But there isn't a good key to use, I have to use a unique key that is Date+AdGroupID+CampaignId+KeywordId+Device+AdNetwork2+Query which is an ugly key to use. However, it does work and I can apply TypeName and CategoryName to rows in the Search Query Report. Which makes me think that the source could as well, and that would be a much more appropriate place to do that. I've just done this for Search Query, my guess is all the reports have a similar problem. Download the full report, download the report with conversion fields, combine the data using an ugly unique key. I don't understand why there is such complexity. Conversion data (cost, conversions, value, etc) is in the original report, why isn't conversion descriptive data? -- =~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~ Also find us on our blog and discussion group: http://adwordsapi.blogspot.com http://groups.google.com/group/adwords-api =~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "AdWords API Forum" group.
