Hi Emmanuel, While the new library does support gzip, it's not currently exposed in an accessible way. I filed an issue<http://code.google.com/p/google-api-ads-java/issues/detail?id=42>on the issue tracker to expose this feature.
Out of curiosity, are you more interested in requests/responses being handled all the time with gzip or is it more important that this be toggleable?
