Hello, You can modify what data appears in these ads using the Feed Services, but you don't have to limit to one request at a time. You should be able to create thousands of feed items in a single mutate request by adding more operations. The guide probably only shows one because it wants to show a basic case that can be expanded.
Maintain means that the initial setup has to be done on the web interface, and any ad creation has to be done on the web interface, but you can add and remove feed items to populate ad data with the API, and this can be done in bulk.
