Hi Sam, You could use the Ad Preview and Diagnosis Tool <https://support.google.com/adwords/answer/148778?hl=en> to see how your Ads will appear with the default text in the Ad customizer. If the Ad was uploaded successfully and approved, the default text <https://support.google.com/adwords/answer/7197054> will be used when the customized text can't be inserted into the Ad.
