Hello Varun, "--" will be shown on the report field when the specified field/value doesn't apply to that row. So, for example, let's take the Amount <https://developers.google.com/adwords/api/docs/appendix/reports/campaign-performance-report#amount> field of the CampaignPerformanceReport <https://developers.google.com/adwords/api/docs/appendix/reports/campaign-performance-report> which will receive "--" if the field is a bid and no bid applies to the row. Likewise if no SearchExactMatchImpressionShare available for the campaign you will be seeing '--' for that field of the row. Please let me know if you have any further questions.
