Hello Peter,

I see that a response may have been sent, but it doesn't look like it was
posted correctly and got a bit garbled. So, I'm posting a summary here to be a
bit more clear. For the Google Ads product, we have currently two APIs for
accessing the product.

The AdWords API is based on SOAP, and this API has been around for over 10
years.
The Google Ads API can be accessed via two different protocols (REST or gRPC).
Our client libraries for Java, .NET, PHP, Python, and Ruby access the API with
gRPC.

The Google Ads API will some day replace the AdWords API. We have not announced
a sunset date for the AdWords API, yet. Right now, people are still using the
AdWords API for their production systems. Overall, we recommend using the
client libraries for these APIs, so you don't have to figure out any of the
protocols. You can contact us with what features you are trying to implement so
we can provide the best recommendation for you right now.

Best,
Nadine Sundquist, Google Ads API Team
