OK I read the article and I'm not impressed. This guy is just another narcissist. His phony self-deprecations remind me of the story about Kafka of whom it is said he asked others to burn all his papers after his death. He could have burned them himself. So one must conclude that he meant, Don't dare burn any of my papers after my death. Same with Sandek. He really says, "I'm as great as Mozart and don't think otherwise just because I wrote and illustrated children's stories. Fine. I'm not persuaded that he regards himself as "mere" in anything. And of course, he's not a mere one. WC
