I was commenting on the absence of LIVING traditional artists in the major
American museums of today.

Name one landscape painting by a living artist in an American museum.

Today, this is probably the most practiced and most collected genre in
American painting. But it is thoroughly, categorically kept off the walls of
A-List institutions.

>As for "traditional" American art, it is very well represented in many major
American museums in all its various forms. The American scene painting of the
30s is still well regarded and much studied.
