I don't know why David Shelby has waited a year to address Kirby's excommunication, but since he was clearly against it - as were William and myself, I'm wondering just what kind of majority supported that action.
If it were 4 in favor and 3 against -- that would hardly qualify for the word "consensus" that Cheerskep applied (although, I suppose, "consensus" is yet another murky word that could mean anything to anyone) I don't like being in a community where secret votes are held to throw people out -- but maybe we'll find a better way next time. (and BTW, some may have felt personally attacked by Kirby, but back then, he was only publicly accused of the crime of being persistently and gleefully off-topic with his need to discuss national politics from a Christian perspective. The issue of ad hominem attacks has been recently addressed -- and I think we're agreed that, like bad weather, these are things that happen) ____________________________________________________________ Embrace e-commerce and sell your products or services online.
