My first barber that cut my hair was an older Japanese lady that
this face reminds me of . It's not a distortion, just a face type
you may not resemble what you are use to seeing. I lived among
many oriental people all my life. I agree, as art the design is
terrible
to my sense ,also.

The artist, Yumeji Takehisa, seems to be both highly skilled as
well as
innovative (i.e. he came way before Gary Trudeau) -- and we have

Such an explanation, whatever it might be, would be very important
