About correctness of your statements we can respectfully disagree. The sentence: " The more imaginative, inventive, figurative the speaker, the greater the chance of misunderstanding." is correct only in dealing with relatively mindless individuals lacking intellectual curiosity, which is unfortunately many. Shakespeare is one of the greatest philosophers I know, because of his imaginative, inventive, figurative qualities in language. It is more than just skills, it is artistry.
