Saul, can you name any culture which hasn't expressed "Power, faith, the desire for universals, the role that myth plays in our lives, and an egocentric desire to believe itself to be universal" ?
(Even among the thousands of "primitive" cultures that have been encountered, the word for human is usually the same as the word used to identify its own people) I suppose ours has had much more opportunity for "aesthetically appropriating the artifacts of the belief systems of others" -- but isn't the history of every civilization, Euro and non, an ongoing record of that? BTW, Saul, I really appreciate the honesty of your replies. They are quite revelatory. ____________________________________________________________ Click to get information on how to convert your home equity into cash with a reverse mortgage. http://thirdpartyoffers.netzero.net/TGL2231/fc/BLSrjnxQuaU3JPIhTzq5YV6dwLKlni aY5JXxs7zUyTOuxv0yfdm5dXtRTna/
