The intriguing issue of whether there can be signs that are
subjectively or objectively global, at least within the earthly
realm, is a topic still debated among semioticians and
semiologists and linguists. My thought of a global sign not
nurtured for example might be say the drawn mark in art for a
person, or the pointing finger in motion for a direction, or the
human face in distortion for a shock.

The naked human and their reactions as a "sign" and most natural
thing are the are probably the only signs that can be considered
global.
