The BBs appeared only in the forum version of the email, and only in the two lines keyboarded in Word and copied and pasted. They appeared in the regular Word line as well as the bold, so style does not seem a factor.
So the BBs trouble originates with Word (version 12.2.3), which has some elements that Databack can't handle. In the posting I received via Databack, all the bold keyboarding was changed to regular. Here, again, for Byron's benefit, is the test email as I sent it. "This is keyboarded in Text Edit, "regular", 16, Helvetica." This is keyboarded in Text Edit, "bold", 16, Helvetica." "I will now copy this three-line "message"with its double quotes, and then paste it in an aol message-window." "This fourth line is keyboarded in "Lucida Fax" bold directly into the aol window." bThis fifth line is bkeyboardedb in Word, bregularb, and it will be copied and pasted into the aol Window.b bThis sixth line is bkeyboardedb in Word, bboldb, and it will be copied and pastedB into the aol window.b I'll now send this. This is not a perfect test, because it's possible one unacceptable line will disrupt all lines in the message, but let's see if the forum repro is different from what Brady, Kate and Cheerskep receive directly from Cheerskep.
