You can define your AOL address as a Mac Mail mailbox and use Mac Mail to receive and send mail from any email account. I have three such accounts, two personal and one at UNC, but I read them all via Mac Mail. (Note, e.g., that I'm subscribe to the Aesthetics list from my Embarq account but I list another email address in my signature.)
