William -- `From what you say, it's certainly true that Roy Harris and I have certain beliefs in common. But what put me off back then was his own summary of "Integrationism", which you can find at
http://www.royharrisonline.com/integrational_linguistics/integrationism_intr oduction.html I won't here try to tackle each paragraph of his text; I'll simply say I was convinced that, beginning as early as with a discussion of his position-title -- 'Integrationism' -- he and I would prove philosophically uncongenial. However I confess I've read too little of his writing to reject him totally. I notice his latest publication is titled "The Great Debate About Art", issued by a Chicago publisher: Prickly Paradigm Press.
