We're just slow. Derek Allen, who's back on the list after a couple of years on forum-sabbatical, has asked some basic questions about notions behind the word 'art', and I've been working on that when I've had time. In large part it's a reprise of the the exchange he and I had about the "ontic status" of "art" just before Derek became occupied by the publication of his book on Malraux. So I've had to review that old exchange, and work on saying some things more clearly etc. I hope soon to inflict on the list a long, "thoughtful" response to Derek's query. At which point I suspect I'll be asked by listers to join Twitter.
