  We are delighted to invite you toB attendB 21st-Century Theories of
Literature: Essence, Fiction, and Value, an international conference to be
held atB the University of Warwick,B 27-29 March 2014.B It brings together
over thirty  speakers from around the world and features three double keynote
addresses, to pursue the conference goals of promoting debate and
understanding across the fields of literary theory and philosophical
aesthetics. Warwick has a long history of supporting interdisciplinary
research, with a special commitment to the interrelations of philosophy and
literature. This conference aims toB foster connections, conversationB and new
lines of influence across a diverseB network of scholars.B B 

  The keynotes and panelsB of speakersB areB organisedB around the three
themes--the Essence (or lack thereof) of literature, the nature ofB Fiction,
and the Value of literature--and will allow for open engagement across
traditions  and between established and up-and-coming researchers.B
